Time's Up is a /superb/ album. Muzz is such a well rounded and expressive bass player.
There was what was for me an unparalleled period of creativity around 1990 which gave albums like Time's Up, Flying in a Blue Dream and Passion and warfare.

What's everyone's initial thoughts on it? My Gears subscription through Gabe was de-activated, so I'm wondering if I should just sub directly through Omar for Gears/Mayfair, or check out Gabe's new Ology IPTV.
FYI - there's a free 24 hour trial for it right now. Been using it about 30 minutes now to watch some Sunday Football. Been hopping around games on Sunday Ticket, getting way too much buffering and pixelation, and some channels won't even open ("playback error").
*Final Update* - After spending about 7-8 hours with the free trial, I'm really disappointed that Gabe would even release this product at its current level of development. It needs a ton of work. During the Sunday Night game, the stream was buffering so frequently I just shut it off. Also, the free trial was supposed to be for 24 hours, so I was surprised when I woke up early this morning and got error messages when logging into the app and none of the channels would load. I should've had access til about 2pm today if it was a 24 hour trial. I'm totally speculating here, but I did make a comment on Gabe's YouTube video for this service, nothing aggressive, just constructive criticism and pointing out the sub-par experience so far, and that may have led to my trial being cut short.

Update: The EPG is...meh...definitely not as good as the Mayfair EPG, IMO. They're also not running true Sunday Ticket, they're just streaming the individual games from the local FOX/CBS/ABC affiliate, and calling it Sunday Ticket on their EPG. This kind of sucks since the game you want to watch may get dropped. For example, in their EPG they're showing the Dolphins/Titans game, but if you view it, it's actually the Dallas/Carolina game - since the local Fox affiliate decided to change over to that game.
For $17/month for one stream, I'd expect way more, there's a lot that needs to be improved on.
To all the people who recommended Ologies.... THANK YOU

Isn't it just so good? Alie is a great host and she has interviewed some super cool people. One of those podcasts which balance interesting info with entertainment really well.
Ologies lovers, what is your favorite episode?

Oh hey, it's your friendly Ologies loving redditor. I'm a big fan of Ologies and I have extra time this week to look back through the catalog. What should I listen to?
If you're not familiar, Ologies is a fantastic if slightly foul-mouthed science podcast where the host, Alie Ward, interviews a different "ologist" every episode. Even if you think you aren't interested in a topic, I promise you'll be entertained and probably also learn cool stuff about science-y things. I really enjoyed a recent episode called Chiropterology and I learned a ton of probably useless facts about bats. Loved it!

Egyptology. Without a doubt. I had no idea how warped my perception of the ancient world was until this episode. I bought both of Dr. Cooney's books and crushed them in a week. (Btw on audiobook she narrates both, and they're fantastic).
This was an episode which is best summed up by the scene in Spiderverse where Miles tells Peter B. Parker that Dr. Octavious is a woman and Peter says "Step 3 I reexamine my personal biases"
Because damn did I not realize until Dr. Cooney started saying it just how little I knew, and still know, about women from the past. Furthermore how male dominated it is. The content is excellent. 10/10

Sorry for mixing up podcasts, but Unmade_Podcasts limits posting.
Alie Ward just released the first episode of Ologies September 3rd.

"Listen and take away a pocket full of science knowledge and some insane stories about what fuels these professional ologists' obsessions."
I think Derek from Veritasium is friends with Alie. Brady and Alie must know each other. Was this just a ridiculous coincidence?
